Bribe Island has received Medicare and Centrelink Agent

Bribie Island residents now have improved access to essential government services, thanks to the establishment of a Services Australia Agent at the Bribie Island Neighbourhood Centre in Bellara. This initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Federal Member for Longman, Terry Young, and former Ministers Stuart Robert and Linda Reynolds. Their advocacy and coordination with Services Australia led to the creation of this vital service point.

The Services Australia Agent, located at 50 Verdoni Street, Bellara, offers residents face-to-face assistance with Centrelink, Medicare, and Child Support services. The centre operates Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM . This development significantly reduces the need for Bribie Islanders to travel to Caboolture, easing the demand on the Caboolture branch and enhancing local service delivery.

Terry Young expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating that the new agency will provide residents with greater convenience and access to essential services within their community. This achievement underscores the importance of community advocacy and the positive impact of collaborative efforts in securing vital services for local populations.
