Owners of Driver Reviver locations in Longman can now apply for a share of $7.3 million in Australian Government funding to upgrade their life-saving rest sites.
Grants are available for upgrades including – but not limited to – better signage, new lighting, kiosks, shelter, amenities for road users and equipment for the operators of the site. Grants are capped at $150,000 (ex GST) per site.
Round Two will also allow for bushfire-affected sites to purchase new equipment and proponents for new driver reviver sites will also be able to apply.
Applications open January 15 and close February 25.
