The recent Labor Government budget in May has further consequences, putting at least 124 projects in Queensland, with a total cost of $16.2 billion, at risk due to the Labor Party’s Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP) review. These projects account for $10.5 billion of Commonwealth investment, including road upgrades in the Longman community valued at $54 million.
This situation has the potential to lead to more delays and increased costs. As our community continues to grow with an influx of new residents, congestion will only worsen.
Sign the petition below which I will present to the Government on behalf of the people of Longman that our community cannot afford anymore disruption to our roads.
I support upgrading our roads and getting work done!
