Today is Remembrance Day
At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, after four years of devastating conflict that claimed the lives of more than 16 million soldiers and civilians, the world began its long journey toward peace.
On this solemn day, we honour the memory of over 103,000 Australians who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
We reflect on the profound impact of their loss on families, friends, and communities, and we recognise the courage and commitment of those who continue to serve in our defence forces, ready to protect our country and uphold our values, even at great personal risk.
Today, we pause to give thanks to all who have served.
