Caboolture Sports Football Club facilities upgrade

Caboolture Sports Football Club facilities upgrade Terry Young was instrumental in securing a $3.5 million investment from the Coalition Government to construct three new football fields at the Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex. This funding will significantly expand the facility, complementing the existing fields and allowing for greater community use. The project will enable the Caboolture Sports Football Club (CSFC) to continue its growth by providing additional training space and enabling both matches and practice sessions to be held after dark, thanks to improved lighting infrastructure. The new fields and associated upgrades will be delivered in partnership with the Moreton Bay Regional Council. This initiative reflects the Coalition Government’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, enhancing regional sporting infrastructure, and building a stronger economy and brighter future for the residents of Longman. Terry Young also expressed his gratitude to everyone who signed the petition in support of the project. Their voices played an important role in demonstrating strong community backing, helping to secure this vital funding. This outcome shows what can be achieved when the community comes together with a shared vision.

Federal Funding Delivers New Life to Carramar Reserve, Dakabin

Federal Funding Delivers New Life to Carramar Reserve, Dakabin Families in Dakabin now have an even better place to relax, play and connect with each other, thanks to a $300,000 upgrade of Carramar Reserve — including a $200,000 investment from the Morrison Government. The revitalised park now features a brand-new children’s playground, barbecue facilities, and extra seating areas, creating a safe and welcoming space for local families to enjoy. I’m proud the Morrison Government was able to help make this happen through our ongoing commitment to investing in local community infrastructure. Projects like this are about more than just new equipment — they’re about bringing people together and strengthening our communities. This upgrade is part of a broader initiative to support councils like Moreton Bay Regional Council in delivering high-quality parks and recreation spaces across the region. By funding projects that improve local amenities, we’re creating more opportunities for families to get outdoors, stay active, and connect with their neighbours — all while supporting local jobs during construction. The upgraded Carramar Reserve is a great example of what can be achieved when all levels of government work together to deliver lasting benefits for the community.

Centrelink/Medicare service for Bribie Island

Bribe Island has received Medicare and Centrelink Agent Bribie Island residents now have improved access to essential government services, thanks to the establishment of a Services Australia Agent at the Bribie Island Neighbourhood Centre in Bellara. This initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Federal Member for Longman, Terry Young, and former Ministers Stuart Robert and Linda Reynolds. Their advocacy and coordination with Services Australia led to the creation of this vital service point. The Services Australia Agent, located at 50 Verdoni Street, Bellara, offers residents face-to-face assistance with Centrelink, Medicare, and Child Support services. The centre operates Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM . This development significantly reduces the need for Bribie Islanders to travel to Caboolture, easing the demand on the Caboolture branch and enhancing local service delivery. Terry Young expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating that the new agency will provide residents with greater convenience and access to essential services within their community. This achievement underscores the importance of community advocacy and the positive impact of collaborative efforts in securing vital services for local populations.

Funding for Sandstone Point Lighting Upgrade

Funding for Sandstone Point Lighting Upgrade Families in the Bribie District Little Athletics Club will no longer need to rely on their car headlights for night training, with a $710,000 lighting upgrade at the Sandstone Point Community and Sports Complex getting underway this financial year. I’m proud to announce that the Morrison Government has delivered $242,000 through the Community Development Grants Program, enabling Moreton Bay Regional Council to fast-track construction of brand new LED field lighting for this much-loved community facility. This is a fantastic outcome for local families and sporting clubs who’ve been calling for better facilities for years. These new lights will make a huge difference for the Bribie District Little Athletics and Bribie Island Sandstone Point Cricket Club, both of which have seen a surge in membership and activity. This project is not only about lighting up the field — it’s about supporting local jobs, improving community infrastructure, and giving our kids and families the facilities they deserve. The Morrison Government is committed to working hand-in-hand with local councils to deliver projects that keep people employed and strengthen communities. Through initiatives like the Community Development Grants Program, we’re making sure local priorities are delivered sooner. These new facilities will benefit not just Sandstone Point, but the broader community — from Bribie Island all the way through to the Bruce Highway. It’s great to see this partnership between the Federal Government, Council, and the community come together to get the lights on and kids back on the field safely. I’d like to thank Mayor Peter Flannery and Councillor Brooke Savige for their ongoing collaboration and commitment to this project. Together, we’re making sure our region continues to shine — both on and off the field.
