Great news for local volunteers and community groups! Applications for up to $5,000 in Federal Government funding are now available under the 2025-26 Volunteer Grants program.

Eligible not-for-profit community organisations can apply for funding between $1,000 and $5,000, to support the work of their volunteers.

These grants support the incredible work of volunteers by funding practical items and activities that directly benefit them.

What Can the Funding Be Used For?

Category 1 – Communication & Technology

  • Mobile phones and phone bills.
  • Laptops, tablets, and computers.
  • Software and internet.
  • Insurance premiums.
  • Audio/visual equipment.
  • Electronic payment devices.

Category 2 – Supporting Volunteers & Eligible Cohorts

Funding to support volunteers or activities that focus on eligible cohorts (see Section 5.1 of the Grant Opportunities Guidelines for specific requirements).

Organisations may apply under one or both categories.
